Hello,
I had to recreate a chapter in my book but the table in the new chapter don't follow suit with the rest of the book.
I have clicked in the table title > format > document > numbering > volume > I selected Continue Numbering From Previous File in Book but that didn't change the table title.
How do I reset all the table numbers?
Cheers,
Tina

It's hard to troubleshoot without seeing the file, but you may need do it in the Paragraph tab of the Numbering Properties dialog box.
If you can't figure it out, I can meet with you via zoom and help you troubleshoot it. Please contact me offlist: rick at frameexpert dot com

Make sure the Numbering Properties in the .book menu match those for the afflicted .fm files.
With that settled, or in parallel with that, if this is the numbering of the Table Title, that's usually controlled by a Paragraph Format of that name (or similar), and it's not uncommon to have two variants of it, such as:
TableTitle with a /Numbering\ property of perhaps:
T:<n+>.\t
and TableTitle=1 with a /Numbering\ property of perhaps:
T:<n=1>.\t
Any stray instances of TableTitle=1 are going to reset the numbering from that point forward.

Hi Tina-Lousie,
FrameMaker changes the numbering of paragraphs only, after you updated the book.
You changed this in the volume tab. Is the volume number the one which does not update? Or the table numbering which is the paragraph numbering?
Best regards, Winfried
