My license is for Framemaker 12.0 - NOT the 2015 updated version. Where can I find a link to download the older version of Framemaker 12?
Looks like you’ll have to wait for the staff to fix up the link that Arnis provided OR you could contact the Adobe Tech Comm people directly - TCS.SUPPORT@adobe.com

Do you have it via the Volume Licensing? If so, you can download copies of your purchased software through that. Try contacting Adobe Support.

Hi Jeff,
My company purchased a single license for me in January of 2014. Technical support has been extremely unhelpful because I cannot provide them with the name of the person (in our purchasing department) who ordered the software for me.

Hi Joe:
As a heads up, FrameMaker 10 was released in 2011, which means it is almost 13 years old. It may or not run as expected on modern operating systems even if you can get this resolved.
That said, you may be able to find a friend or colleague who has a portable USB DVD drive. I keep one around because every once in a while, I need to look at a CD or DVD. You might also check your local library. Otherwise, I think your best bet is to follow Jeff's original advice and reach out to Adobe Tech Support with this email: tcssup@adobe.com to see if they can make the installers available to you for download.

I know that you could download older FrameMaker versions from the Adobe website. However, I cannot find this page anymore. Are setups of older versions no longer available?

No, I think they've killed off the download links to older versions. Last time I looked, the only way you could get copies of the perpetual licenced FMs was through your Adobe licensing portal.
And even then, because of the activation server migration off IE, you'd have to apply the hack (see https://helpx.adobe.com/tech-comm-suite/kb/deprecated-internet-explorer-10-with-ims.html) to be able to activate the old copy.
Maybe it's time to lock this thread down - it's getting pretty long in the tooth!

It should have been with the other trial versions available here: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=framemaker&loc=en_us
Looks like they forgot the FM 12 version. I'll notify the staff about this.
If you purchased your license through the volume licensing program (see: Business software licensing | Adobe Buying Programs ), then you should be able to download using the links supplied with your license info.

It's not clear what you mean by "older version of framemaker 12." Older
versions of FrameMaker, such as versions 11, 10, 9, etc.? Or previous
patch levels of FrameMaker 12, such as 12.0.1, 12.0.2, or 12.0.3? Arnis
Gubins posted a link for previous FrameMaker versions earlier in this
thread. The link for the update patches is here:

@Mike – FM12 is now considered an “older version of FM” as detailed on the page that Arnis posted. Just changing the “11” to “12” in the link (…cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=framemaker_11&loc=en_us) doesn’t work.

This is resolved. I sent an email to TCS.SUPPORT@adobe.com and they sent me the correct links. Thank you, all!

Could you please post the link for FM12 if other users also need to get it.

Per Tech Support:
In order to download Adobe Framemaker 12 Windows English, open the link mentioned below.
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=framemaker&loc=en_us
Then Sign in with your Adobe ID and Password. Kindly stay on that page and open the below two links one by one in new tab and save the files on your desktop.
http://trials3.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/FM/12/win32/Framemaker_12_LREFDJ.7z
http://trials3.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/FM/12/win32/Framemaker_12_LREFDJ.exe
.exe is a smaller file and .7z is a larger file. Wait for both the files to download completely.
When both the files finish downloading or saved in the same location, then run the second file (.exe) which will start extracting the first file (.7z) and will start installing Adobe Framemaker 12 on your computer. You should be able to install and activate Framemaker 12.0 on your machine without any issues .

The last two links are not working for me (after I log in) ... does anyone have a better set of links?
My computer crashed and I need to do a re-install of FrameMaker 12 ... argh.

Yeah.
Apparently, for some reason, each request requires the first link (i.e., the page to "keep open") to be unique to each situation ... the Adobe engineer has to personally set it up from what I can tell ...
The process really needs to be a lot simpler - these are, after all, simply old files ... installing still require a valid license to use FrameMaker properly in the first place.
Other software companies do not seem to have a problem simply making the files available ... this could easily be in the Adobe updates page (indeed, I think these were in there at some point in the past!).
Adobe, please make the process simpler! There is no reason for the overly complex approach here.
