Files were created in Frame 11, and work/appear normal.
SVG image files created by Solidworks Composer.
We have now updated to 2022 FrameMaker, and now that same SVG image will no longer appear.
The SVG file is showing as a white blank. Not missing. Not re-scaled. White not grey.
Double-click in the anchored frame opens the SVG file as it should.
The SVG image appears fine and can be inserted into other documents or frames.
A solution found, has been to re-import that file (as mentioned, FrameMaker object properties reference the correct file, and has it automatically selected when the import dialog box appears). It just won't show it until you have imported that image into the anchored frame. Again.
The same file, scaled and located the same as it "was" , now appears.
This would be fine for a small task, however, this means hundreds upon hundreds of image updates for us here.
Is there any way to automatically update, or re-establish the link for more than a single frame at a time?
Is this a setting in the newer Framemaker?
Help! Please!

I would try this on a copy of a document. Rename the graphics folder so that you get Missing images message. Choose the Ignore All Missing Files radio button so that the document will open. Save and close the file. Rename the folder back and try opening the document.

Thanks for the comment, but that didn't work. Got anything else?
I've renamed the folder, opened to the grey boxes, and saved. Closed.
Then rename the folder back and re-open, gets to where we started with white boxes.
When i try to re-establish the link (re-import), there is a small pop-up which does something.
I was hoping to find what that was, and if i could manually do it. It has a progress bar, and then when it's finished, the SVG image appears as it should. Any idea what this is? Can it run for the whole document and not just one frame or image?
Of course, you still have to place and size the image after that, so it's not a perfect solution. If you have saved or remembered your scale and position that was set for the "white box", setting those back in the object properties fixes things now that the image is showing again.

Hi, @Duane31274819bsh4 ,
my first try would be what @frameexpert mentioned, BUT instead of "Ignore All Missing" use the function to show FM the path to the renamed folder.
Then FM will reload all graphics and then check if your SVGs are shown.
If yes, save FM-doc, close it, rename graphics folder to original name and open doc and do as before.
If not, the only way I know of to handle this, will be a script that re-links all the graphics in the document(s).
Regards
Stephan

Can you pair the file down to a single page or two with graphics, and zip and send me the FM file with the graphics? I can take a look at it and see what I can come up with. rick at frameexpert dot com
