Keep With Next on title element in EDD

Hi,

I'm debugging a government structured template where the sections' title elements are never kept with the next para. The EDD's text format rules for the "Rubrik" element look like this:

In all contexts.
Use paragraph format: fontSansSerif
If context is: * < Datamodul[Sprak = "Eng"]
Default font properties
Language: UK English
Else
Default font properties
Language: Svenska
In all contexts.
Pagination properties
Keep with next: Yes
Placement: Across all columns and side heads

This should indeed keep the title element with the next para, shouldn't it? Any hints?

Thanks Matt, it was due to a miniscule para not having the right keep attribute.

Hi Mats,

The EDD can be a bit particular when it comes to assigning properties.

There may be another rule being applied elsewhere that is removing that property.

I have additional thoughts, but first, try defining the fontSansSerif paragraph tag apply the Keep with Next.

Since it's already being applied, you can pass that property along with the paragraph format, rather than a rule in the EDD.

(You may find that the paragraph style is actually what is preventing the property from being applied in the first place. Setting the "Keep" property in the fontSansSerif tag to As Is might also resolve the issue.

The other thing to keep in mind is that if/when you import the formats and EDD, the order of import makes a difference, as does whether or not you remove overrides to formatting.
