When I try to re-install my FrameMaker 7.2 on a new notebook, it reported invalidate license?
I have been used this license for many years.
Please help.
FrameMaker 7.2 was released in 2005, that is, 16 years ago! Both core support and even extended support have ended many years ago. Also, FrameMaker 7.2 was never officially supported on Windows 10.
I suggest, that you contact techcomm@adobe.com and migrate to FrameMaker 2020 which officially supports Windows 10.

What was the operating system on the old notebook?
The new one is presumably Windows 10, and I'd be surprised if the license is the only challenge with running FM7.2 on Win10.

Actually, both the old and new notebook are Windows 10 Enterprise.
While I install FM7.2 on new one, the failure below is reported.
Could you please help to check it?

re: Could you please help to check it?
I have no means of doing so. Keep in mind that this is a user2user forum.
My only experience with this is that I still have a copy of FM7 on a Win7P/64 laptop that I've not used for some time. FM was installed in XPmode (a Windows XP VM), because it would not install and run native on Win7. Some people have reported being able to do so, using Compatibility Mode, but I'm not sure that extends to the headless Distiller functions needed to generate PDF, due to Windows Driver Model issues. XPmode makes it all work.
I didn't migrate FM7 to Win10P/64 because MS dropped support for XPmode, and obtaining another VM, and an XP license, was more trouble than it was worth. If I need FM7, I still have the lappy.

Hi Stefan,
Appreciate your kindly help. You are correct, while I copy the license from CD cover to electrical document, I miss the last 4 digits. Now it works.
Thanks,
Jeff
