Hello,

I am using TCS4.

I have used structured Framemaker extensively, but have never created from there.

Is there a Dummies for creating structured FM or any other sort literature that would help a beginner?

I have already watched this excellent tutorial http://tv.adobe.com/watch/structured-authoring-xml-and-dita/migrating-to-structured-framemaker-using....

Have you tried a Google search like "tutorial FrameMaker structured" without quotes?

It's not clear if your experience with structured FM involves authoring and/or editing content in existing structured documents, or if you mean that you've worked in regular unstructured FM documents within the structured interface. If you've actually worked in FM structured documents, you may have a good background to find the Adobe FrameMaker Structured Developer's Guide useful. It's comprehensive about the various structured FM features, but not a particularly good learning path for beginners.

You may also find introductory SGML and XML tutorials helpful, as structured FM is based on these technologies.

HTH

Regards,

Peter

I have used unstructured FM extensively.  I can find my way through a structured document, however I do not know a thing about creation of an unstructured document.

I would like to either create a structured document from scratch or migrate a structured document.

As there seems to be next to no help from Adobe, and not much I can find online, I would appreciate any help!

http://wiki.scriptorium.com/tiki-index.php is where to start. I could send you some structured docs that you could play with (import element definitions and paragraph styles) to help in the transition. I use unstructured FM for most short documents and structured FM for most long documents and avoid DITA.
