Hello all,
Our company is looking for a CD only of FrameMaker 7.2 Patch 128 to purchase. We have license keys so only require the CD. We have tried FM 7.2 P144 and it seems to have memory issue any this is causing some deadline issues. If anyone is willing to part with the CD for a good price, please let me know.
Regards
Antony

No we have not. We have found the same errors in FM 8.0 which leads me to believe that it was not fixed in later patches.

Are you sure 7.2p128 will solve the issue? I had a customer that had to go back to 7.1 because of a memory issue.

But perhaps there are other workarounds? If you could describe the original problem, maybe we have a suggestion.

Hi Michael,

FM 7.2 p128 is the last version and patch that worked. We have been delivered an SGML file (16Mb) and need to open it in FM. C:\Program Files\Adobe\FrameMaker7.2\Structure contains all the relevent EDD's, RW Rules etc. So when opening the SGML, I need to nominate a Dir to save the end *.fm file which is fine and then start the import. After about 40 minutes FM throws an error file and closes the entire application. This happens with FM 7.2 p144 and FM 8.0 but not FM 7.2 p128 and previous. Logged the job on the Adobe support site and was told that this is a memory issue. I have done exactly the same process on a brand new PC with nothing else loaded and nothing else running. This machine is a P4 3.0+ CPU, 4 GB RAM so there should be no memory issues unless there is a setting in FM itself. This is all I have for now, so any help will be great. Thanks in advance.
