I have a master page with one main body page text frame.  Should I be able to anchor a 2nd body page text frame to it (I mean while I'm still on the master page)?  When I do, I don't see the anchored frame on my body pages.  I'm not sure if it's because Framemaker doesn't allow that, or I'm not doing it right.

You can create a second (multiple) text frame, or graphic frames on a Master page.

But an anchored frame is anchored to a text paragaph in a text flow and should function only on a Body page. So, no, you can't use an anchored frame on a Master page, but also you shouldn't need to -- a change to the layout of text and graphic frames on the Master page should apply to all body pages that depend upon it.

If you need to make a change to just some pages, you should create a new Master page and make the layout change there. Then apply it selectively to whatever Body pages need it.
