I used framemaker 15-20 years ago before it was dropped from the mac. I have one file (small, 91K) from an old project I’d like to examine. Would anyone have framemaker on a windows or other computer, and could extract the text from it (save as MS word, txt or rtf)? I have attached the file, email me at charris@bu.edu,
I had to use the file extension 'raw' instead of frame because does not support frame filetype; and using 'fm' I was told the contents didn't match. Ok.... raw didn't work. I tried .mif.
Thanks. Catherine.

Although this instance appears now handled, future searchers need to know that the more usual solution for these one/few-file cases is to:
. locate a naive Windows PC (no FM, and ideally no full Acrobat either)
. install the trial version of FM on it
. open the old files, and save as some other format,
. plus MIF if that wasn't there already
And don't take more than 30 days to do it.
