Hi, all

I have encountered a strange error when I am trying to print a book from FM.

The error log reported:

Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: C9*D*h

Stack

(..../Subtype/Link/ANN FmPD2

:N [/Title<FEFF0041>/R..)/F

Strangely I can print every single file in the book; but not the whole book together.

Please kindly help.

What version of FM?

What output method?
? Print-to-ps-file & distill
? Print to PDF
? Save as PDF
? Publish

And in case it matters, what default printer is configured during attempts?

I use FM 2015 and the "Print-to-ps-file & distill" method, with Adobe PDF printer and Adobe Disitiller.

Might not be the problem, but what Color Management Polices are set in the PDF Job Options?

That aside, I don't recall what release of FM acquired the new PDF engine, but Save-as-PDF (or Publish to PDF) is now the preferred workflow path.

Thanks for your attention.

I tried the "Save as PDF" method, but the same error was reported.

I managed to locate a table in my file that was causing the problem. When the table is removed, everything goes well.  However I still not cannot figure out what is wrong with the table.

I am guessing... your bookfile is corrupted. Try creating a new book file. Drag/copy all the files from the old file into the new and try printing again.

Thank you, and you are totally right. I located a table in my file that was causing the problem. When the table is removed, everything goes well.

Was this a native FM table, or something imported from elsewhere?

If FM, a MIF wash might be worth a try, otherwise, I'd guess that FM R&D might be interesting in seeing how a table can corrupt Ps.
