I have bought adobe photoshop cs6 middle east so that I can launch ps and edit my graphic from framemaker 12 (retail) as shown on AdobeTV.
Unfortunately both "MainMenu\File\Launch Photoshop" and "MainMenu\Graphics\Edit with photoshop" menuitems are disabled.

I have updated both software to the latest versions and still integeration not working

The integration with other products only exists in the TechComm Suite versions of FrameMaker.

I believe that if you have PhotoShop configured as your default .jpeg editor, you can double-click on a referenced photo in FM to open it in PhotoShop. Works for me on FM 10, anyway, and did on earlier versions I've used; similarly, double-clicking on a referenced .eps opens it in Illustrator. .png files, which I don't use often, open in my PC's less sophisticated graphics editor.

Actually, it's the file association at the Windows system level that controls this. If you have Photoshop set to open JPEG, TIF, etc. and Illustrator to open EPS files, then double-clicking on them in FM will open them in those applications (or whichever app you've set these file types to).

Our descriptions intersect, catching the correct answer like an enemy fighter in the beams of two searchlights :-}

If you find that your version of the product doesn't support this command, my WS Utilties plugin does. You can define any number of right-click menu commands to open a graphic in any application on your computer.

For FM12, use the FM11 build for now.

Thanks,

Russ
