I am using FM 16.04 to create HTML5 help. Although hypertext and cross-reference links work in FM and PDF output (via Publisher), they are often broken in the OLH.
As far as I can tell there is nothing wrong with the links when I examine the HTML in Notepad.

This is the bug report I believe. Closed but not fixed.

Thank you. I don't understand how it can be closed but not resolved!

I wish I knew. But I don't unfortunately.
And I have not checked in a while whether it actually might have been fixed.

Unfortunately, it IS still an issue!

My suggestion.... resubmit it on Adobe Tracker as a bug and write to Adobe support and tell them this has not been fixed and you have sent in the bug. And tell people to vote for your bug report.

I have just made a quick test with two types of links.
If this is a case similar to yours, I would consider it a bug. This kind of error makes i impossible to, for instance, have hyperlinks in bubble texts on technical drawings.

I guess this problem still persists... I've been trying to fix links in my HTML5 output which seem to be working perfectly in the PDF file. In the HTML5 output, the links disappear entirely... A very annoying problem!

Did they contain any of the funky text characters that Matt mentioned?

Typically, anything inside of an anchored frame is rasterized as a single image when outputing to HTML5. That is why you lose your links.

To Rick's point, most graphics are converted when exporting to HTML.
However, if the link you need is to a graphic, place an SVG version of the graphic that includes the link you need and it should convert properly. I'll try to dig up video(s) I've done on the topic and post link(s)

This conversation migrated from my original problem. My problem occurs when using the "named destination/goto named destination" pair in the text; no frames involved.
