Removal of Anchor Frames

New Here ,
Mar 21, 2008 Mar 21, 2008
Hi All,

Have a Nice day...

This is Senthil from India.

I have a doubt, there is any possible to remove all anchor frames at a stitch without affecting the data. For example an article contains 6 tables, all those tables were inside the anchor frame, there is any possible to remove all those frames at a moment without affecting the table contents.

Please let me know if there is any solution for this issue.

Thanks in advance,
Senthilkumar.

Hi Senthil,

If you remove an anchored frame, you delete all of the content within the anchored frame.

Building on Rick's answer....

Senthil, you should be able to select the contents of each anchored frame and copy it to a different location in the same file or to another file.

From your description, I suspect the tables aren't really Frame tables, but may be graphics or objects imported from another program. Although it's possible to do what you describe in Frame, there wouldn't be a logical reason to do so... tables are usually just embedded in the text flow as (I think) you want to do.

Cheers,
Art

Hi Art,

Thanks for your reply.

Right now I am doing as per your first point only. (ie., select the contents of each anchored frame and copy it to a different location in the same file or to another file)

Is there any possibility for automation instead of copy and paste method.

Thanks,
Senthilkumar.

Senthilkumar,

You can automate this with the FDK or FrameScript, but it would take a bit of time to work it out.
