I have been given FM10 files in a book with a table of contents. Some of the content is hidden in the body of the book which is what we want but the table of contents is still showing the headings which are hidden in the body.  How do I get them to hide? I am not proficient in this software, we have 3rd party create our documentation for us to use. They are currently unavailable to help me so any help is much appreciated!

Sarah,

It sounds like your document is using conditional text settings to hide certain things at certain times. I believe that if you have the text hidden when you generate the table of contents (per the steps from Harpreet), it won't show up in the table of contents. That's been my experience. I create one file with two or three output files; turn things on and off per the conditions, then create the appropriate table of contents.

You'll have to read up on conditional text to get up to speed on that.

Regards,

Sue
