Text insets and conditional text settings

I'm planning to use a .fm file as a text inset that describes common command line options for both Windows and Linux (in one single table, to make future editing easier). As the syntax for entering the script is different for each OS, is it possible to set up conditional text within the text inset, but have the show/hide options different for the relative Windows and Linux chapters, while leaving the text inset to show all?

Yes.

Be sure to use the same condition names in the text inset file as in the enclosing file. I am not sure, but I do not think you have to set the conditions in the inset file to show all; I think the enclosing file's settings override those in the inset file. But it will not hurt to leave them as show all.

Van, thanks very much. I've tried this now and it works as you described. I've left the text inset file to show/hide all, to avoid any confusion for the client I'm working for.
