Hi,
I just carried this over from the Acrobat forum since the problem sesms to be more with Frame than Acrobat.
I'm using Framemaker 7.2 to create PDF files with Acrobat 6. Sometimes the Distiller creates a manual with all the pages upside down. After using Rotate Pages 180, everything is fine.
This does not happen with every manual I am working on, so I am not sure what is causing it.
I tried turning off the Aoro-rotate pages option in the Distiller setings but that did not fix the problem.
Has anyone else experienced this odd behavior?
I also created a PDF file using the installed Adobe PDF driver, the same PDF conversion settings (auto-rotate: off), and the pages came out right side up.
Is there some setting that is unique to the Frame file that could be causing the problem?
Yours,
Michael F

That implies that you might be printing to .PS and Distilling. If so, what PostScript driver is configured, and what are its settings, in particular for Flip Pages?
Auto-Rotate appears to be the only relevant Distiller Parameter, but even if on, it shouldn't do what you are seeing, unless gravity is negative at your coordinates.
On Windows, Frame settings, printer driver settings, and Distiller Params control the output. if it's a driver issue, the likely scenario is that the default driver is changing periodically.
I've never seen unexpected page orientations except when doing post-processing in Acrobat Pro. Doing OCR can result in page rotation (but is not applicable in the present case, because OCR skips pages with actual encoded text).
