Convert mp4 to a file that actually plays on a dvd player.

When converting a mp4 file to a mpeg2-dvd file for playing on a dvd player using Media Encoder, the dvd player would not recognize any playable material on the disc. Apparently Adobe no longer supports the ability to burn a dvd that is playable on a dvd player that connects to a tv. For a company marketing and selling video editing software, I think they should offer the ability to make a video playable on a dvd player.

@EllieCBC,

It is not just the file, you must "author" a DVD for it play as a DVD. And yes, Adobe no longer supports Encore. There are other applications out there.

Hi Ellie,

so regarding any option to actually burn a DVD, as it was possible in Adobe Encore until 2012 it is highly unlikely that AME will ever integrate this again.

We do have a MPEG-DVD preset that you can use to export a DVD supported mpg media file. Is that not working properly for you? if you in what kind of application to you test if the exported file works as supposed or not? Could you provide the actual settings you have made in AME as a screenshot?
