Community Beginner ,
Dec 17, 2019 Dec 17, 2019

Is there a way to align layers in photoshop on the iPad? Seems like there should be as it is impossible to Center anything.

Is this the most up to date info? I don't understand how this is 'REAL' photoshop on ipad and I can't align. How soon will this feature come?

No one at Adobe thought to include Alignment tools with photoshop for ipad? What? When will it become available? I tried to upvote it in the link that was provided to the original post but I can't seem to sign in to my account on that page, which is a whole other can of worms. Is there a way to do a Mega Obvious Feature Vote?

YES please add this feature so we can finish some more work on the iPad! My vote here, because I also cannot sign in on the other page with my Adobe account...;-(

Following. I cannot believe this is not a basic feature yet. I mean.. wow.

thats why brands like Affinity Photo and Designer softwares are already getting more popularity. They actually give what people need. No questions, or forcing people to work on a DAMN computer. We buy iPads, because we want iPads. Can't you understand this ADOBE.

maybe, maybe not

You can't sign in because you have to create an account on the "forums", like we don't have enough accounts... Please do so and let's start a revolution!

Totally agree. Photoshop on an iPad is basically worthless without the ability to align layers/text or snap to grid. I was sitting down to work on some projects, and...nope, can't do anything with it. Ridiculous.

Apparently not.

Also on an iPad,  you can't open photos as layers in photoshop from LR, for compositing using the brush tools.

Being a real estate photographer, that's an essential feature for me. I had to rid of my iPad and buy a Mac instead. iPad is a no-go for photography in my opinion.

It's 2021 and Adobe STILL hasn't added the basic option of alignment to Photoshop for iPad.

Adobe living up to it's reputation as usual...

It's November 3, 2021 - nearly two years after the feature was mentioned - and you still cannot do something as basic as align text to a layer? I Googled thinking that surely I was missing something basic, but that's, most disappointingly, not the case.

I bought an iPad Pro just yesterday to help stoke the flame of my re-ignited love, or rather intentional love with action for photography. I've been shooting more than I ever have before. I was making a cute little image for my wife w/ text and needed to make sure the text was alignedl a simply task.

And it cannot be done?

This is embarrassing, Adobe. Really and truly embarrassing.

Yes, still waiting. I'm finding that Canva is soon going to replace Adobe for many of these projects that require simple tasks (like quickly adding text and aligning). All of my Adobe tasks take place on a MacBook because the mobile/tablet options are so limited.

Is possible? How?

Thanks in advance

This hurts. I got an iPad as a social media marketing tool and aligning text is such a necessity. I really hope this feature and other mobile features are on there way soon so we can utilize the power in these M1 chips.

They don't seem to give a damn about ipad users. I finally decide to use PS on iPad and so far I've found out the 2 most basic functions aren't even included. Aligning things, and copy and paste from outside of the app. What am I gonna find out next?

I literally bought an iPad instead of another MacBook thinking there would be full functionality... that was not the case. PS on iPad basically useless compared to desktop version.
