3D & Materials / Material Glitch

Hello!

I'm currently working on a project using the new 3D & Materials feature in illustrator. I'm continuously running into an issue with how the material sits on one or two objects in a group. See attached for a reference of before and after rendering!

For a bit more context. All these objects have been independently snapped to a grid before grouping and apply 3D effects & materials. I've tried ajusting the lighting, changing the depth/volume of the object, but nothing seems to work! Even if I try applying 3D & Material to the object alone, it still happens. I did try duplicating an object that didn't glitch and when I move it to that specific slot it still glitches! So I'm thinking it must be something to do with placement!?! Totally stumped.

Do you still have the problem when you turn all snapping (snap to grid, snap to pixel) off?

I've been having a similar issue where it's almost as if the lighting on one object is messed up. No matter what I do it won't assimilate to the rest of the objects in the group.

I've also created my own post about it, out of respect for the OP.
