3D text along a sphere

How can I create text in 3D that will run along the shape of a 3D sphere in Illustrator v27.2?  I want to get the effect like that of the Comcast Universal logo's "UNIVERSAL" letters:

That's not really possible. Such stuff is done using text on paths in 3D. Of course you could fake it with a lot of work, but ultimately your time is probably better spent by doing it in a real 3D program rather than AI's limited 3D options.
