Hello
We are a company who is working together in Adobe Illustrator files located in dropbox.
Problem is that Adobe is linking images with absolute path
/Users/mt/Dropbox/images/image1.jpg
Now when another person that is not "mt" opens this Adobe Illustrator file, all image links are broken and needs to be re-linked manually.
Before the latest Apple Update this could be solved by everyone in the team placing their dropbox folder in a different user folder with the same name.
But now Apple has FORCED dropbox into each persons individual main folder.
Any solutions to this?
iCloud seems to also be inside your individual folder......

We tested this with iCloud shared folder and same problem.
How can Adobe not have fixed this in 2023 .... I have no words.

Hello @Toke29137271fhfe,
We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. Illustrator supports working across networks and from removable media/cloud-synced folders (Dropbox/Google Drive etc.) and is vigorously tested across multiple configurations. However, not all existing configurations, which include different software, hardware, settings, and access rights, have been tested. Therefore, your configuration can cause errors, crashes, or unexpected behavior. You may learn more about this here: (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/kb/illustrator-support-networks-removable-media.html).
To avoid such problems, we recommend working on files from a local directory, like the desktop, and then manually copying the files to your network/removable drive or cloud-synced folder.
Feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need assistance. We'd be happy to help.
Thanks,
Anubhav

Are you working off a network? Adobe does NOT recommend this.
Download all your files then make sure they are all in the same folder as the source Illy file - open it.
Or package and send - this is slightly neater as it puts all linked items in a folder called (wait for it...) Links, which is where Illy will look for linked items second (after it looks in the same folder as the source Illy file)...
