Hi everyone.

First of all I am sorry for my poor English so I will try to explain my problem well and detail:

1. Let's say I have 3 Objects in my layer : A, B, C

2. I select the front object (A).

3. Now the problem is, I want to add selection to the object B also (so the selection is objects A &B), is there any keyboard shortcut for it? As far as I find, it is only possible to select "next object below" and can not select 2 layers without using a shift and a mouse click.

I want to use this because I want to create a long action which includes a pathfinder tool, so the actions have to select more than 1 layer.

Thank you.

you can select multiple objects while stepping though your action. First, add a Note to the objects you want to select, you can add the same Note to multiple objects. Press Ctrl+11 to bring up the Attributes panel to enter Notes. Then when recording your action, go to the flyout menu in the actions panel and click on "Select Object...", and add the Note you previously added to the objects you want selected.

Can you tell a bit more about the action you are going to create?

Ideally, you may want to provide a sample .ai file and the action (.aia) file (in case you already have it).

Provide as many details as possible, because your request can only be handled if one knows the specific context.

As I understand it, you have several objects on your artboard and you want Illustrator to guess what the second object is so it can be automated in an action?

The selection will have to be made manually with Shift+Click or Marquee+Drag if you can‘t do it from the Select menu.
