Hello,
Is there a way to add a template in Illustrator with a script?
I don't find anything about thing so I'm not sure if it's even possible.
I have a template with some icons that is need in every artwork that I create.
These have to be positioned every time on the bottom centered of the artboard (which is every time a different size).
Is there a code for this or do I need to search for an other sollution?
Thank you in advance!

Update-
I think it is best to find a way to place a file in the artwork.
Because when opening a template, it automatically opens a new file.
And this is not what I need. The icons need to be placed on the work i've already done.
Is there a way to place for example an other Illustrator file into the current one using script?
Thanks!

Hi,
So, you want to duplicate the data from one document to another document?

Hi,
I'm not sure what you mean with duplicate. (Duplicate can only happen when both files are opened in Illustrator?)
But I guess you can say that I want to duplicate it.
I have an illustrator file with the icons.
I've cropped the artboard the same size as the icons so when I place the icons with 'file < place .. ' the icons are like 1 image that I can place.
This is actually not that much work to do the normal way.
But problem is that the artwork I make is never the same size and it is nessesary that these icons are in the right size and place (top, bottom, left, right). And I have to make a lot of artworks every day.
I dropped an example image of what I need (this is not what I normally make.. 🙂 )
So I have the artwork en the ardboard at a specific size. And around are the (example) icons in red.
I hope this is a little bit clearer?
