im trying to save it on my local hdd on imac

The file is old (not super old 1 month) I just did an update and from the moment I did the update I can not save in illustrated format nothing. I can save files only as pdf .

my system is mac OS Catalina V. 10.15.07

i hame make a update only the illustrator and nohing else

yes i have reboot my computer 3 times and i have unistall and reinstall Illustrator

yes i have check the fonts

no i don't have a printer connected

Which system exactly?

Did you just update the system or Illustrator?

Did you already reboot the computer?

Did you check all your fonts?

Is a printer connected?

 

You can try and turn off "Save in background" in the preferences.
