Our company needs to update an address on 900+ files.

I've seen scripts to replace a single word or date, but not something for lines of text.
Has anyone had success in automating this task?

It would help if you could provide at least a couple of sample Illustrator files, so one can check if you are talking about a uniform task or if it may be more complicated.

The principle would be similar to scripts that replace one word in each file. There was such a script somewhere in the community. If you have a multi-line text frame with different fonts and colors, it is more difficult to replace because Illustrator resets the formatting to the appearance of the first character of the textframe. But it is quite realistic to create a script that saves the formatting of each line of the frame when replacing the text in it.
