When I save my illustrator file as a pdf, it is making the pattern brush layers appear darker. Can anyone advise on why this might be happening? I have to do a presentation and it looks awful! Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

2 reference screenshots attached.

Many thanks,

Is your document RGB or CMYK?

Are there transparency blending modes applied?

What are your PDF settings when saving?

Can you share an Illustrator file with the problem brush example?

This could be a setting in Acrobat that enhances thin lines.

But it points to a possible issue with your lines in the brushes in that they may be too thin for reproduction.
