Centred in Illustrator but not when placed elsewhere?

I have a ai file where the text is centred on the artboard

but when I place the saved ai file in Indesign (for example) you will notice that the space between the N at the end of 'reduction' is larger that at the start of 'noise'

It has exported to pdf with no problems.  Any suggestions as to where I'm going wrong please?

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for getting back to me.  I've just solved it from the question you asked!  To solve, when I selected the file for import I ticked show import options and then selected crop to art.

Thanks Monika

When you place it in InDesign, which options did you select in the PDF import options?
