Hello,  I hope a blessed Soul can help me end my suffering ;D

So my problem is :

Everytime I use clipping mask on an object the fill color gets deleted. And I then have to manually recolor it, which is very annoying and costs time in my workflow.

How do I fix this? This can not be normal right?

Some pictures to showcase:

From these two objects..

with this layer panel (Same result even when the tow objects are no compound path and only path)

I do clipping mask and this happens....

See layer panel. As mentioned I tried on compound path and regulary path - drawn with the pencil tool

I'm not able to replicate this problem.

When an object becomes a clipping mask, it automatically loses it's color but that object that it is clipping keeps its color.

The clipping mask itself can be recolored later.

but that object that it is clipping keeps its color....

what do you mean by this? The object that is getting clipped (is it the shape that dictates the form - or the shape which lands inside the form)

I am newbie and no native english speaker. Im a little confused about that part.

So, you do not have the same issues as I? So Im right about a wrong behaviour? Or is recoloring it always necessary?

I hope this example helps.

There is a red object.

Untitled-1.jpg

Another object of any color (doesn't matter what color) is drawn on top of the red object. To be a clipping mask it must be on top.

Untitled-2.jpg

Select both objects and choose Object > Clipping Mask > Make. Now it looks like this -- the original red object keeps its color and the clipping mask loses its color.

If the clipping mask doesn't work this way on your computer, you could first try resetting preferences. https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/setting-preferences.html

If that doesn't work you may need to reinstall Illustrator using the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool. https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

If you want to recolor the clipping mask, select it with the Direct Selection tool (white arrow). It is easiest to select the clipping mask if you click on the edge of the mask.

Then you can choose any color to fill or stroke the mask.

Sometimes just closing and reopening Illustrator will solve a problem, or restarting your computer. If you haven't already done so, you could try those things before taking the time to uninstall and reinstall.
