Converting PNG to vector

Hello, I am trying to convert a white PNG logo to vector but am having a hard time. I've tried going to Image Trace choosing the black and white preset as well as playing around with other presets and all I get is a white rectangle that doesn't go away when hitting Expand.
I'm new to Adobe Illustrator so any tips would be extremely helpful

Did you try checking the "ignore white" checkbox in the Image Trace panel, you need the Panel/Dialog/settings open and showing "Advanced" options? (Example of this dialog is https://youtu.be/BTdYSoUs91Q?t=27)

you may choose high fidelity preset. you need more details for the traced logo.
