Copy & Paste not retaining styles in Illustrator and InDesign

Hi there,

Just started experiencing this in Catalina so I updated to Ventura 13.1 but it didn't change anything. I am using a 27-inch 2020 iMac and the latest Illustrator version but stress it was happening on the prior version. Also, the paste in place does not work anymore. Any help would be appreciated as this is slowing production times.

Thanks for checking in safe mode @neilw42903972. As it is working fine in Safe Mode, it means some process or app is interfering with your Clipboard. I would suggest in Safe Mode, launch other apps one by one that usually runs at startup and which you usually use and check which app is interfering with the Clipboard.

You can disable or enable the app & processes allowed to run in the background on system startup. The steps are here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mh15189/mac
