This is a user to user forum. Most of the people answering questions here are volunteers who are sharing knowledge that they've gained as working professionals. If you honestly want help with your problem then you will have to provide specific details as to what you are actually trying to accomplish and all of the steps that you've taken thus far. Please also provide the exact version of Illustrator and operating system that you are using.

Could it be that you are running a third party app that "enhances" the clipboard and interferes with Illustrator?

Also: please try and reboot the system.
