Crashes after "Importing Artwork"

Working on a large file, in which I overwrote the old PS file (bigoldphotoshop.jpg), and when I try to open the .ai file it crashes after 'importing artwork' dialogue box.

Not sure how to correct this.

I tried changing the name of the file and find replace with the new name (bigoldphotoshop.jpg to biggerphotoshop.jpg), and still an issue with the JPG. JPG is 886mb RGB/8bit and no other channels.

Can you share the file so I can look at what might be causing it?

Also this sounds like you are trying to open the .jpg file in Illustrator correct? and it's an image you made in Photoshop?

Sorry for the delay.

Yes I made the JPG in PS.

What I ended up doing is renaming the JPG and then when Illio can't find it, I replace it with a smaller FPO file.

I think it was just over the MAX settings for my illustrator (which I'm not sure if you can change or not)

I'll let production worry about importing the big file!
