Crashing programs.

Hi.

I'm having problems with my programs. Whenever I use them they're okay for a while and then they start lagging and after a while they get so slow I can't do anything anymore and have to shut them down. Everything else on my computer works but the adobe-programs have frozen totally and I end up having to force them closed. This happens ALL THE TIME. And especially with Illustrator. The most annoying thing is that it shouldn't be my computers fault. It's a new computer with Intel Core i7, 8GB ram and a 2,6Ghz speed and I bought it especially so that I could run all these heavier programs, but it doesn't work. Can anyone help me?
