Create a group of colour swatches from an illustration

Hi everyone,

I have a vector illustration made up of many different colours. As I don't really want to go and have to manually click on every single colour variation to make a group of colours, is there a command in Illustrator to do this automatically?

Would really appreciate any advice.

1. Select all art

2. Go to Edit/Edit Colors/Recolor artwork

3. At the top Right select the New color group Icon

4. Click ok

Done

All the colors in the art art now in the swatches panel

I'm not sure I understand corectly

Select some swatches - Use CTRL (Cmd) kay to select some swatches - you can also use Shift

And then use Create Group buton - it works fine

Go to the Swatches panel menu.

Choose: Add Selected Colors

Or click on the folder icon in the Swatches panel: New Color Group
