Working on my isometric illustrations and I wanted to speed up my process by creating actions and UNDO actions as well but I am stuck with the UNDO/reverse actions once I get to scaling. I scale my isometrics on the vertical at 86.602% but what do I enter to reverse this action? I think I'm just missing an obvious solution but I cant figure out what it is...I tried -86.602 and 13.398% but neither are reverting back to the original flat shape I started with. Help?

I had a go at it - not sure how sound my method is though...
For the Top
Rotate 30,
Shear -30,
Scale 116.195% vertical
(insert menu item) Object > Transform Reset Bounding Box
scale based on Edgrimley reciprocal idea
1 divided by 86.062

You need to use the reciprocal of the original scale percentage. For instance if you scaled down 90% - the riciprocal of 90 is roughly .01111 so you need to scale up by 111%.

Here are the steps I use in my isometric actions:
Flat to Isometric Wall:
Scale to 86.6% horizontal, 100% vertical
Shear 30° vertical
Isometric Wall to Flat:
Shear to -30° vertical
Scale to 115.47% horizontal, 100% vertical
Flat to Isometric Floor:
Rotate -45°
Reset Bounding Box
Scale to 122.48% horizontal, 70.71% vertical
Isometric Floor to Flat:
Scale to 81.65% horizontal, 141.42% vertical
Rotate 45°
Reset Bounding Box
I also have mirrored versions of each of those.
