Curvature tool acting weird

I'm having some troubles with the curvature tool on my new pc.

Every time I draw something, a larger "copy" of the anchor points show up on the right (see print screen).

I'm also unable to 'complete' any figure.

Illustrator won't connect my last point to my first point, so I can't 'close' my shape'.

I tried changing almost every preference, but nothing seems to do the trick.

Importing the settings from my old pc also didn't help.

Any help would be appreciated.

Which system is it?

Is there a second monitor attached?

Yes, I'm working on a second monitor and this seems to cause the problem.

Just tested it without the monitor and everything worked perfect.

Any idea how to fix it? I would like to work on my big monitor

I'm using Windows 10 and Illustrator CC 2017

There are some threads about similar issues, but I'm not quite sure if they could be solved.

The problems are gone when I only use the second monitor (before I was using 'extend' to use both monitors).

It's not 100% what I wanted but it's manageable.

Thanks Monika, for pointing me in the right direction!
