Instructions for resetting preferences are at How to set preferences in Illustrator

It is a bit tricky to get the timing right using the keyboard shortcut so you might try it again. If that doesn't work you could try using the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

I have succeeded in " press ctrl + alt + shift while running illustrator", but .....it doesn't help to relocate those dialog boxes....

Never mind, I still could relocate them each by each manually.

Mohammad & Barbara, thank you for your suggestions.

I'm sorry that the dialog boxes are still an annoyance. With Illustrator it's hard to tell if the preferences have been deleted.

  1. First quit and close Illustrator.
  2. Then rest your fingers on Control-Alt-Shift if you are using Windows; Command-Option-Shift if you are using Mac. But do not press the keys yet. This is just to get your fingers positioned.
  3. Launch Illustrator.
  4. IMMEDIATELY after launching Illustrator press the keys down.

Let me know if that fixes the problem.
