Disable Adobe Print dialog box

New Here ,

Hello,

I have been looking for this answer quite a lot but without any result. Can someone please tell me if there is a way to cancel the Adobe Print Dialog box and go straight to the printer options? I am working with laser cutter as a "printer" for the artworks so I do not use the adobe print box and go straight to setup:

This would be a simple inconvenience but the laser driver do not communicate properly with the adobe dialog box and show me a shorter media (640mm vs 740mm) even though I put the 740mm in the driver. This happens sometimes but not always so it is a real struggle. Because of this the laser supplier recommended using CorelDRAW where this problem does not exist but I would rather fix it and use Illustrator instead.

Any help appreciated!

Best Regards,

Szymon, AFSI

Hi Szymon,

That can be quite annoying, as that setup button can be quite slow.

While there is no way to go directly to the OS Setup and avoid Adobe print dialog, you can make your life easier by saving a print preset(s), after you have configured them using your setup button.

Dear Mike,

The workaround You provided won't work for me as each print job I have to go in the machine driver and change the settings for the laser like speed, laser power etc. With the Adobe printing dialog box it is very annoying and time consuming, plus I get the errors of mismatching the media size which I showed before.

Is there absolutely no way to disable this print box from Adobe? If not, I think I will have to move to CorelDRAW unfortunately .

Thanks,

You could try and use plugins to drive your machine from Illustrator such as

eCut Adobe Illustrator plugins: nesting, plotting, cnc - Main
