Drop Shadow effect causes dotted line

Hey everyone.

I have a curious problem.

I gave my vector the drop shadow effect and since then, dotted grey lines are crossing my graphic. As they are no paths or something, I can't delete them and they don't disappear - not even when I export or save it as a .png/.jpeg!

I don't know if it has anything to do with that but I rotated (3D Filter) my vectors and than gave the drop shadow.

The trouble is that the (raster based) drop shadow effect is mixed with vector artwork and then distorted in 3D space. The edges of the raster image get anti-aliased.

To have this clean, you would need to do the following:

make the 3D distortion without shadows or make it with rectangles instead of shadows.

Then expand the appearace (Aussehen umwandeln) and apply gaussian blur to the rectangles so they look like shadows.

The 3D might have caused this. Can you show your layers panel? Please show the contents of the layer, not just the layer. You can also try if it gets better when you View > Preview on CPU

Hello, thank you for your answer. And you are right: Through the CPU Preview the lines are lighter, but unfortunately not gone.

My main language is not english but I translated the words...

I only grouped my mockup and then added the 3D Rotation on the whole grouped mockup - I have  to group it because otherwise the elements won't fit together. So the group is having the Effect 3D.

But only the elements on the right: blue container and every "card" has the drop shadow effect. 2019-11-11_16h48_40.png

Capture from Appearance panel also would be helpful. Thanks

Does is print out that way? It could be a screen redraw issue.

Thank you so much for your answer and explanation! very interesting ...
I already thought that I'd have to choose one effect, either 3D or shadows - but both together don't work. It's a great tip using blurred rectangles instead of shadows. Will do so, this will solve my problem!
Thx and greetings from Austria
