EPS preview missing on macOS High Sierra

When I save an EPS from Illustrator CC 2018, the file cannot be previewed in macOS High Sierra using Quick Look (select the file in Finder, press the space bar). All I see is this generic icon:

All other EPS files I have on my computer are displayed just fine in Quick Look. Has anyone else noticed this?
