Error: The Application "Adobe Illustrator 2021.app" is not open anymore. - on macOS

Hi People,

Is anyone having issues with Adobe Illustrator 2021? After the app crashed I tried to Force Quit it, but it refused to quit. It's still there in the Forced Quit box. I also uninstalled the app, and reinstalled it, and I still have the same program, when it comes up with the message:

"The application Adobe Illustrator is not open anymore".

Could someone please help me? I can use Illustrator 2020, but there are some new features I've applied to my design in 2021.

Hi on mac OS bigsur 2021 illustrator has bugs so it is better to use 2020...regards

• Exact Operating system
• Are you using an M1 Mac machine?
• Does it seem to crash after a particular action?
• Does this error occur with any other Adobe or third-party applications you use?
• When did this start happening? Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates, or web extensions installed recently.

The system generates this error message when application files get corrupted with viruses or bugs and malfunction in the MAC hardware or errors in macOS. I suggest you visit this third-party website (https://www.tenorshare.com/mac-os/fix-the-application-is-not-open-anymore.html) and try the troubleshooting steps mentioned there. If this doesn't help, you may try using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html) to remove the Illustrator altogether & reinstall once done.
