Hi all,
I'm trying to export an illustrator file (with multiple artboards and layers) to photoshop (as a psd file).
However, illustrator exports multiple .psd files when I do this.
Is there any way to export to a single, multi- artboard psd file?
At the moment I'm copying and pasting into a multi- artboard .psd file, which is pretty crazy for a UI wireframe. Surely there's a better way to do this?
The reason I want to do this is to eventually take the .psd file into xd and prototype from there (yes, it's already a workaround as XD is pretty limited)
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Anthony
You could post it as a feature request on http://illustrator.uservoice.com

Is "Use artboards" checked or unchecked? Should be unchecked for this.

Hi Monika,
Thanks for the suggestion. However, the solution you suggest imports all illustrator artboards onto a massive single psd canvas. I want to keep the illustrator artboards in a single psd file (multi- artboard).
Cheers,
Anthony

So you want to convert AI artboards to PS artboards?
I don't think, that's possible.

Yes, It's a pretty fundamental one which doesn't seem to have been integrated. I hope I've missed it somewhere

Hi there
Maybe if you export the artboards as files and then with an action in PS load those files in to Photoshop Artboards
Best

Thanks Eugenio- seems like a good workaround, but hopefully Adobe will get on this one- I just requested it as a feature.
