Fonts not activating?

I am trying to download new fonts from the adobe fonts and they're not working or coming up on my Illustrator?

What exactly are you doing to activate the fonts?

Are you using the same Adobe ID for licensing the fonts and for using Illustrator?

With Adobe Fonts, you 'activate' them, rather than downloading font files that you can actually see (without some trickery). Sometimes there can be quite a delay, but you should eventualy see an Adobe CC alert saying that the fonts have been activated.

Can you check if your education account blocks the activation of Adobe fonts?
