See the white outline around the circle? That's what I'm trying to get rid of. I want the white overlay for the sake of lighting, but I can't seem to figure out how to get rid of it. Any tips? I've tried using other layer effects to no avail.

It looks like a rendering issue to be honest, now if you were on a newer version i would suggest toggling your GPU settings but unfortunately I am unsure with this earlier version if that is even possible..? For best results it may be worth upgrading to a newer version of the software.

What exactly is overlayed on what else?

Any effects?

Which blend modes?

Which document color mode?
