How can I get this gradient effect ?

Scansione 4.jpg I tried to copy and paste forward each one of the hexagon stokes with a gradient but I was wrong

Draw one hexagon

Edit >Copy

Edit >Paste in front

Drag  the copy from the corner, with shift+ alt, to centre

Then use Blend tool

Draw triangle with the pen tool, no stroke  and gradient fill

Right click and send to back.

Use Gradient tool, 

then 0repeat for other  sectors of the hexagon

Thanks Ray Yorkshire but it needs to add one last step : clipping mask the  triangles inside the hexagons
