How to add artwork elements from another file using iPad

Does anyone know how to move a layer from another AI file into the art board that I'm working on and still be able to edit it as though i stated it in the new art board? It's easy to drag it in when on desktop but I can't figure out how to do it on the iPad.

Copy and Paste.

You cannot copy the layer itself, but the objects on it.
