How to delete artboard presets

How do I get rid of those??

No matter what I do, it keeps selecting on of those if I resize my artboard to 1920x1080, when I want it to stay to "custom" ... I'm pretty sure I'm going to be told I have no choice, but I guess it's worth asking.

Thanks.

If your artboard size happens to match one of the presets, it will show the preset name.

Is there a way to clear all the presets? They are very confusing--especially when they have incorrect names. Thanks in advance.

Hi @phthomas71

Thanks for reaching out! Presets are part of the application installation, and we do not recommend removing them. Even if you remove them, they will be restored with the next update.

Regards,

Srishti

Can this extensive list at least be broken into sub lists? This way people in print can ignore the mass of mobile screen sizes, not have to go through them, video users wouldn't have to scroll past everyone elses sea of presets, etc, etc... I work in custom print, used Illustrator since 5, only using A3 and A4 for job bag info and everything else is user-defined, so a massive list of irrelevant presets is annoying and looks like a cluttered after-thought when after all these years should be streamlined.

The optimum I feel, would be to move them into category lists and better still topping the categories with 'Favourites' and 'User-defined' lists so users with many self-defined presets can be separated cleanly and can still favourite ones they more frequently use to another list...

... or maybe an 'Artboard preset manager' where all the user-determined preset sizes could be switched off and that information retained in preferences that transfer those user choices across updates...
