how to draw a graphic on the hidden character in Illustrator just same llike the text 'tag' concept in Adobe InDesign.

I want tag a selected 'text-range' in Illustrator same like InDesign is there any method to create the tags in Illustrator or any other method to draw the graphics around the selected content?

Hi @Ravi25527747efwu, do you mean how do we get a reference to a text range? Or do you want to get the bounds of the selected text, so you can draw something over it?

I just want to get the bounds of the selected text and want to draw open brackets at the start of the selected text and closing bracket at the end of the selected text, but if I added some character in between of selected text then the closing bracket should be moved according to the added character.
In a Simple way, I just want to add the tag-maker same as in InDesign tagging feature.
