You could go into Object > Pattern > Create and then draw those shapes directly in Pattern editing mode.

Honestly I need help with everything Im just not in general familiar with Illustrator all im trying to do is create a pixelated replica of these patterns which is seemingly impossible to do with the brushes and such

If you need more information about Adobe Illustrator you have tones of Videos produced by Adobe and so many Video bu Monika Gausa. I suggest to start listing to it! Also Behance has so many live streams on Illustrator!

You want it pixelated?
In that case you would need to search for Photoshop tutorials (there are a couple). But if you also want to create it so that it tiles seamless,. then you might get into trouble.

Right now im trying to recreate the pattern but this task is awfully tedious, Im using the rectangular grid method in order to create the pixel effect how ever filling the gaps takes ages If there was a way for the live paint bucket tool to cover more tiles

That doesn't make a lot of sense.
Use Photoshop for that. Make a 1-bit image. It can be placed in Illustrator and then colored. It can also be scaled.
