How to UNDO a revert in Illustrator CC????

Seriously Adobe!!!! Adding a shortcut that's close to cmd-Z that REVERTS your entire project!!! Just lost 2 hours of work!! How do I undo this revert????????????

Many people delete the shortcut because of this.

Other than using your own backup you can't undo it.

That is so frustrating. The only thing I can tell you is, when you have recreate lost work, it always goes a lot faster the second time. You'll be surprised how much of your work time was problem solving and that you've already worked out, so you can sail right through it. Just roll with it and learn from it. If you're looking for a competitive software, a lot of people like Inkscape. I've never tried it, but I hear good things.

Revert closes the file and then opens the last saved copy. It technically cannot be reverted.

 

The "muscle memory" for an export should be "Save the file". Then export. Whatever you do, before exporting you should always save the file. 

 

Do you have a Mac? Turn on Time Machine. Make backups, lots of them. Anything can go wrong anytime. You have to be prepared.
